Ontario Place has long been one of my favourite locations in Toronto to take photos of nature, particularly in the winter. In this location I am able to take a wide variety of nature photographs. It was a location I visited quite often as I began my journey as a nature photographer. As I developed as a photographer and naturalist, I became more interested in studying bird behaviour. The birds was most fascinated with were the winter ducks that migrate here in late fall and spend the winter here. In Ontario Place I discovered a place where I could observe and photograph these ducks without impacting their natural behvaviour. Unfortunately due the redevelopment plans of the provincial governments we are at risk of losing access to this space, and there will significant negative impact on the wildlife that inhabitat this section of our waterfront. If you have interested in learning more about the fight to save Ontario Place as a public space then please visit the website of Ontario Place For All.
I would like share a collection of photos I have taken in this location since 2016. This post will be part one of a three part photo essay.
Let’s start with the beautiful views that one can enjoy from this location.
Sunsets.

Lake Views.

Toronto Skyline

Toronto Islands

I hope you enjoy the photos of the views available along this section of our waterfront. In the next two posts of this series I will showcase the wildlife I have capture photos of in this area.
